Sonic Youth Hits Are for Squares is a 16 track compilation. 15 tracks selected by other artists and the 16Th track is brand new track. It was released on Starbucks Music. Starbucks Music What? its meant to be a coffee shop not a record label. Well it was just a CD released by Starbucks until..
Vinyl Info
This CD was repackaged as a double 180G Record and released for record store day. Both records are black and sound amazing and it comes in a nice gate fold package, featuring a man drinking at Starbucks (notice a theme?) and inside the gate (?) each artist who selected a song has written a piece about why they choose the song. My copy is number 0165, But this was not a limited press and is still available for purchase. Click the pictures to make larger.

Nirvana - Sliver

Info
Nirvana's Sliver is the most expensive 45 I have ever brought!(I'm really poor so most people would find the price i paid not much at all). Originally released in 1990 by sub pop and then re released by Geffen in '92 to support 'Incesticide'. The b side to Sliver is Dive and the actual recording of Sliver features Dan Peters from Mudhoney on drums. The song peaked at 90 in the UK charts and to be honest isn't my favourite nirvana song, So why is it the most expensive 45 I've ever brought? This single is incredibly popular for some reason, I'm pretty sure most nirvana fans own this single in some form. In fact if you go on the Sub Pop website you can still purchase a brand new 4Th! press of the single. There are 14 different variations of this vinyl on 7", there is also the CD single and the blue 12" so its hardly worth going into detail. However, the vinyl below is a second press on pink vinyl, the second press by Erika records features nine different colors including two different pinks, of course I own the cheaper pink version. These singles are easy enough to pick up on eBay as there are so many different versions.
Expect To Pay
For the version below: $45 - 60
There is a massive price range on this single for example:
4th press on black vinyl: $5
Ultra rare white: $550 - 650
Mega ultra rare red: Over $1000 (Only One has ever been seen!)

Foo Fighters - This Is A Call 12"

Info
From 1995 on Roswell records we have This is a call by Foo Fighters, the second single to be released off the debut self-titled album. This is a luminous (glow in the dark) vinyl and really does glow in the dark! however, its a very small glow but it does what it says on the tin. It features the main single This is a call and two non L.P Tracks Winnebago and Podunk. Exciting! you might say about the two non l.p tracks, but I wasn't really to excited about them and I could see why they were left off the album. Anyways a must for Foo Fighters fans and fans of cool pressings of vinyl because as I said the glow in the dark really works!
Expect to Pay
To you sir: $15-30
but I paid £5 ($8) for my copy so be patient and you'll get a bargain.

Suicidal Tendencies - S/T

Info
We start with the suicidal tendencies debut album and what many people including myself would call their best album. This album is a bit different to other suicidal tendencies albums as after this album they kinda veered off into thrash becoming one of the most popular crossover bands in the process. Anyways a great hardcore punk album featuring institutionalized which is probably their biggest 'hit'. My favourite song off the album is the opener suicide's an alternative/You'll be sorry. The actual vinyl was purchased from rock and roll heaven in Orlando and was a first press! on black vinyl. They have been many reissues of this album on colour vinyl but my one is an original first press, it is in amazing condition for a vinyl that is 27 years old. It is not incredibly rare album and isn't the most expensive.
Expect to pay
For a colour reissue: $15
For an original press from 1983: $20 - 40
